THE LESSON OF THE BUTTERFLY

Paulo Coelho/G1

A man was watching, for hours, a butterfly struggling to get out of the cocoon. She managed to make a small hole, but your body was too large to pass through there. After a long time, she seemed to have lost strength, and froze.

The man then decided to help the butterfly, with a scissors and opened the cocoon, and releasing it immediately. But his body was withered and small, had shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch it, expecting at any moment, its wings would enlarge and lift her flight. Nothing happened, in fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a withered body and shriveled wings, unable to fly.

The man - in his kindness and willingness to help - did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were nature's way to exercise it and strengthen its wings.

Sometimes an extra effort is precisely what prepares us for the next obstacle to be overcome. Who refuses to make that effort, or who has a hand wrong, it ends without being able to win the next battle, and never gets to fly to your destination.
