PRAY UNABATED

Text: Luke 18:1 ..... ought always to pray, and never falter

When this passage Jesus teaches his disciples (Repeat to yourself to listen: THIS DISCIPLE ME) the duty to pray always, and never falter, it is because He knew that prayer produces power, and a servant of God without power, as is put a candle under a bushel, is useless because it illuminates.

He does not promise us anything here, but it shows us that the basis of life of those who serve God in spirit and in truth is prayer. The Christian life must be grounded in prayer.

The word duty means duty =

And the expression unabated, mean = without discouragement, without flinching, without fail, without stopping.

So to reach this level of practice of prayer that the Word of God requires that we pray - pray always, and never fade away - we have to cultivate within us the desire to pray. And that is generated only when we truly love God.

When we love truly, and not just lip service, we want to be with the beloved person all the time. We want to hug, kiss, talk of plans for the future .... So too must be the desire in my heart to be in the presence of God. It has to be something that causes a stir within me, where I look forward ... dreaming will be like when we meet, what he will talk to me? How will you be when you look in each other's eyes. I need to fall in love with Jesus.

And the more time I spend in prayer, reading the Word, praising, more time to enjoy his presence. The longer he has to hear me, He will have more time to talk to me.

So beloved, the 1st step for me to cultivate that desire to always pray and never faint, is passionate about Jesus and wanting to be the most time in His presence.

Step 2 - I need to be convinced of the power that prayer shall loose on my spiritual life and physical material, put my faith into action, and be sure that God will answer me. In Luke 11:9 we have three tremendous promise:

1 - Ask and it shall be unto you that is, ask and you will receive)
2 - Seek and ye shall find - seek and you will surely find.
3 - Knock to open themselves unto you - hit and I assure you that the door will open.

We could cite here the example in the Bible several men and women of God who enjoyed the benefits of prayer, but let us look at Jesus, because in no other God's power manifested itself so powerfully.

At all times, we see Jesus withdrawing to pray, and staying for long periods alone with the Father Jesus did nothing without the Father has revealed. So we must learn to stay long periods in the presence of the Father, and that learning can only come with practice.

So reviewing:
Step 1:
- Falling in love with Jesus;

Step 2:
- Be convinced of the power that prayer shall loose on my spiritual life and material physics;
- Put my faith into action, and be sure that God will answer me;
- Perform the prayer;

Step 3 - I have to persevere.

Few people steadfast and determined to start a project and can go all the way, most tend to quit in the middle of the road, especially if the project is delayed
And unfortunately, we know who makes a habit of beginning without end, form the habit of failing, and that is why, we see so many failed projects.

Many people, too lazy to pray, prefer to cling to the verse 8 of Ch. 6 of the book of Matthew that says that the Father knows our needs before we ask, but we must remember that in this context, Jesus was referring to the practice of empty phrases used by nations, and He taught His disciples the opposite - we must go to the Father with our requests.

Sometimes we start a project with a lot of praying for a cause. Spend 1 week, 1, 2.3, if we have no answer, we begin to lose heart. The lack of perseverance and determination, is a pernicious habit and harmful in all areas of our lives. We need to ban this bad habit of our lives.

In Matthew 24:13 Jesus said, "But he who endures to the end, this will be saved."

The desire of God's heart, is that we are victorious, firm, steady, abundant in his work (1 Cor 15:58).

So dear and beloved, do not waste your time with useless things, invest in the Kingdom of God and you will see the tremendous benefits that the Lord will pour over your life, your projects, your dreams, your family, your church, your city, your neighbors , your cell .... Reasons for not praying is that we lack!!

Let's see:
- We must pray for our nation by the authorities of our state and our city to govern justly, and to the Kingdom of God is established in each department publishes Brazil;
- We are in an election year and we must seek God's guidance in choosing whom to govern our city. No more splitting votes for personal favors and to commit an entire administration of our city by voting for incompetent people and the government only intended for personal interests and unjust enrichment. So we pray to God to give us wisdom in choosing the right candidate;
- Pray for the development of trade and tourism industry;
- Pray that the teaching in schools and colleges are excellent and better each year of default;
- Pray for safety in schools, streets;
- Pray for an end to violence, to disarm and to end the trafficking of drugs;
- Pray for the sick, the addicted;
- Pray for prisoners;
- Pray for the unity of the Body of Christ;
- Pray for the pastors and their families;
- And finally pray for our personal needs: salvation of our family, health, personal projects and ministries, finance, well ....

Reasons to stay for hours in the company and Sweet Holy Spirit's presence, is that we lack.

Prayer brings intimacy and communion with the Lord
Prayer releases
Prayer healing
Prayer restores, renews our faith develops
Prayer opens doors
Prayer creates spiritual sensitivity
The prayer is that everything in life that truly serves God.

Beloved,
It is worth always pray and never faltered. The desire of my heart, that you fall in love for Jesus today.
